Aqueduct restoration with English technology
Repair of the Voskevaz canal started immediately after the irrigation season. The former canal was in an earthen bed, under the conditions of which a significant part of the irrigation water did not reach the cultivated lands due to the loss. Within the framework of the irrigation system modernization project, with the co-financing of the RA government and the Eurasian Development Bank, through the Regional Development Fund, a canal is being repaired for the first time in Armenia with concrete pipes made with English technology. About 2000 linear meters of the canal passes through the forested area, in order to minimize the environmental damage, the restoration works of the canal are carried out manually. The irrigation system restoration works will be completed in 2024.
