На водохранилище Веди ведутся активные строительные работы. Водохранилище Веди посетила делегация Французского агентства развития во главе с новоназначенным директором южнокавказского офиса Дельпи Фанни. Он ознакомился с процессом строительства плотины водохранилища, поинтересовался текущими проблемами и сроками возведения сооружения. Водохранилище строится при финансовой поддержке Французского агентства развития и правительства РА через Фонд территориального развития Армении. Дельпи Фанни оценила цель проекта, ведь вновь построенное водохранилище емкостью 29 миллионов кубометров обеспечит надежное орошение более 3200 гектаров плодородных земель в скудной Араратской долине. Бенефициарами Ведуского водохранилища являются более 5000 ферм расширенных общин Веди и Арарат. В рамках проекта также планируется построить на экспериментальных участках закрытую внутрихозяйственную оросительную сеть, в результате чего фермеры смогут осуществлять орошение новейшими капельными и дождевальными технологиями.
